CSA stands for Community Supported Agriculture. It means that you (the consumer) and we (the farmers) enter into a symbiotic partnership where you invest in the farm during the critical start to our season - and get rewarded with fresh dividends!
You commit to a CSA subscription (or farm share) now by making a full or partial payment for the entire season. Your return on investment is a box of fresh vegetables throughout the harvest season (May-October).
This gives us the critical capital we need to get started, and gives you access to some of the freshest vegetables in town.
In this system, farmers know who their food is feeding, and community members are able to build relationships with the people who grow their food and become part of the farm.
What does "Customizable CSA Farm Share mean?
We know that a ‘one size fits all’ model doesn’t work. That’s why we're partnering with Harvie to offer our subscribers options. If you never met a vegetable you didn’t like, keep the CSA exactly as it comes. You’ll get a variety of fresh vegetables every week and suggestions on how to prepare unfamiliar vegetables. If the thought of beets makes you green, set your preferences at the start of the season and NEVER get vegetables you hate. If you believe variety is the spice of life, you can change your box every time by viewing what will be available and choosing to take it or leave it. It’s like going to the grocery store, but better. We heard you loud and clear - no more waste or getting vegetables you don’t want or can’t eat.
When you sign up, you get to rate each vegetable, from "LOVE IT!" to "Not for me." Your weekly or biweekly farm share is built based on the preferences you set at sign up, so just this begins to customize for you! Each delivery, you'll get an email of what's in your share that week based on what we've harvested, and you can swap out or add extras!
A customizable CSA is completely tailored to your needs, generates less waste, and means you can choose:
Your perfect size: Small (best for 1), Regular (serves 2-4), or Abundant (serves 4-6)
Your delivery option: Home delivery, convenient pick up locations, or Farmers Market
Your favorite produce: Set your preferences so you never get something you hate. Weekly options to customize available too. Sick of beets? Cancel them. Love carrots? Get extra! Do it all from your personal dashboard and your order is picked just for you.
Your payment plan: Secure your spot with a deposit and make affordable weekly payments through the season.
Your schedule: Choose the day you want to get your veggies or place vacation holds. No more missing what you paid for!
What Products are in a CSA Farm Share? Veggies? Meat?
You can sign up for: a veggie share: certified organic vegetables a meat share: 100% grass-fed beef, pastured chicken, pastured pork or both!
You'll get seasonal certified organic vegetables if you sign up for the veggie share, and a selection of 100% grass-fed beef, pastured chicken or pork in the meat share. You can set your preferences for meat, too, if you love chicken but don't eat pork.

You have lots of flexibility! You can schedule a vacation hold, or change your delivery to a different week. You can also "cancel" a delivery up to three times during the season and get a credit on your account.
Alternatively, if you travel a lot, you can sign up for a biweekly share, which really just means 11 weeks of deliveries, and schedule those to be delivered on the days that work for you!
CAN I SIGN UP MID-SEASON?
You can. If you sign up after the season has begun, we can prorate your share based on the number of weeks remaining in the season.
Alternately, if you travel a lot, you can always get a "biweekly" share, and go into your account to arrange your eleven deliveries on the weeks that work for you.
DO YOU OFFER COOKING SUGGESTIONS?
Yes! For each delivery, you'll get an email that tells you what's in your share that week with links to make changes. That email will also have recipe suggestions and cooking tips and videos. We'll also provide cooking ideas in our CSA newsletter, and on our blog and on Facebook.
